Margaret Carton, MSPT, Owner

 

Licensed Physical Therapist 

 

Margaret graduated from Washington University School of Medicine in 1990 with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.  She has extensive training in manual therapy including myofascial release and muscle energy technique as well as craniosacral therapy.  Margaret has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic diagnosis, TMJ dysfunction, sports and dance related injuries in a hospital based outpatient clinic.  She was an assistant professor at Black Hawk College in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program from 1996-2005.  She is STOTT PILATES* certified and has successfully integrated this treatment approach for trunk and shoulder girdle stabilization.  In her spare time, Margaret enjoys running and attending her children’s sports and dance activities.

Joel Esters, DPT

 

Licensed Physical Therapist

 

Joel graduated from St. Ambrose University with a Masters of Physical Therapy in 1998 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2008.  His educational background also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1986 and a Master’s degree in Human Performance/Exercise Physiology in 1988 from Western Illinois University.  Joel began his career in the field of physical rehabilitation in 1988.  He has experience in treating a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses including pediatrics in the school system, work conditioning/hardening programming and job site analysis.  He has a strong interest in sport medicine including rehabilitation of sport related injuries as well as sport performance training.  In his spare time, Joel is a volunteer coach for area youth soccer and basketball. 

 

 

 

Kimberly Grimm OTR/L

 

Occupational Therapist

 

Kim graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1992 with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy.  She has extensive experience in outpatient occupational therapy treating both neurological and orthopedic diagnoses.  Kim also has experience with wheelchair evaluations,  industrial rehabilitation, home evaluations, cognitive rehabilitation,  and visual perceptual rehabilitation. In her spare time, Kim enjoys church activities and attending her childrens’ sporting and music events. 

Bobby Leemans PTA, CSCS

Physical Therapist Assistant 

Bobby graduated from Black Hawk College in 1997 with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree.  Bobby has extensive experience in occupational and sports medicine, working with professional and Olympic athletes. Bobby has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and Human Performance and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He also holds certifications in Ergonomics, Cumulative Trauma Injury and Treatment,   and has co-authored a compliance manual for the American Disabilities Act for employers.  In his spare time, Bobby enjoys hunting and outdoor activities with his children.  Bobby also volunteers in his community and at his church.

Sarah Stenger, PTA 

Physical Therapist Assistant 

Sarah graduated from Black Hawk College in 2008 with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree.  Sarah began her career with experience in 24 hour home care assisting mentally ill individuals with daily living skills.    Sarah has a natural ease with patients and a genuine helping attitude which is keeping within the Twin Rivers Physical Therapy, PC mission of providing comprehensive and compassionate care.  Her interests include manual therapy and orthopedic conditions.  Sarah also has clinical and work experience in hospital based inpatient physical therapy.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding her bicycle, and taking long walks with her dog.   Sarah is a welcomed addition to the staff and Twin Rivers Physical Therapy with her fun loving and warm personality.

Chris Chance

 Billing Manager 

Chris is a self motivated natural leader who began her career in health care/office management in 1988.  Chris has experience as a medical coder, patient account representative, accounts receivable/ insurance representative, business assistant receptionist and coordinator of benefits processor.    In addition to her years of experience, Chris continues to further her education with classes specializing in medical coding and reimbursement. Chris brings her superior organizational skills, strong work ethic and cheerful disposition to Twin Rivers Physical Therapy, PC.  In her spare time Chris enjoys shopping and attending her son’s sports activities.

Teanna McCabe

Medical Records Processor/ Receptionist 

Teanna comes to Twin Rivers Physical Therapy, PC after working in child care from 1994 - 2000.  She graduated from Black Hawk College in 1997 with an associate’s degree in child development / child care.  Teanna is a loving wife and devoted mother.  In her spare time, she enjoys attending her son’s sports activities, traveling and scrapbooking.  Teanna is a Key Volunteer for the United States Marine Corps. Her commitment to customer service, excellent organizational skills and pleasant personality make her an excellent employee for Twin Rivers Physical Therapy, P.C.
